Westminster College Academic Scholarships
Students who have been accepted for admission will be considered for the following academic scholarships.
Dean’s Scholarship
- Freshmen applicants
- ACT = 23 – 25 or SAT = 1590 - 1700
- GPA = 3.00+
- Actively involved in high school and community extra-curricular activities
- Range = $4,000 - $7,000
- Scholarship Committee will start evaluating applicants the first of March
President’s, Trustee’s and Churchill Scholarships
- Freshmen applicants
- ACT = 26+ or SAT = 1800+
- GPA = 3.25+
- Range = $7,500 – Full Tuition
- Scholarship Competition – On-campus interviews
Saturday, February 2 or Saturday, March 1
Transfer Scholarship
- Transfer applicants
- College GPA = 3.00+
- Range = $5,000 - $7,000
Founder’s Award
- Transfer applicants
- College GPA = 2.50 – 2.99
- Range = $3,000 - $4,000
Other Westminster College Aid Programs
Westminster Grant These grants may be awarded to students who demonstrate financial need. Grants are awarded for one academic year. Renewal is contingent upon current funding levels and the student’s annual submission of an FAFSA application for financial aid, evidence of need, maintaining satisfactory progress toward a degree and remaining in attendance for the full period for which the grant is awarded.
Westminster Out-of-State Grant Out of state students who demonstrate financial need will be considered for these grants on an annual basis upon receipt of the FAFSA results. Renewal is contingent upon current funding levels and the student’s annual submission of an FAFSA application for financial aid, evidence of need, maintaining satisfactory progress toward a degree and remaining in attendance for the full period for which the grant is awarded.
Breakthrough Award Students who file the FAFSA will be considered for this non-need based award on an annual basis. Renewal is contingent upon current funding levels and the student’s annual submission of an FAFSA application for financial aid, evidence of need, maintaining satisfactory progress toward a degree and remaining in attendance for the full period for which the grant is awarded.

Alumni/Sibling Awards Students who are the children, grandchildren or sibling of a current Westminster student or Westminster alumnus will be awarded a $1,000 award, which is renewable every year as long as the student is maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
Westminster College Endowed Scholarships Through generous gifts from family, friends and alumni of Westminster College, various scholarship programs have been established. The awarding criteria and value of these awards varies greatly. To be considered for any endowed scholarship, students must submit a FAFSA application.
