FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: More than 97% of Westminster students receive financial assistance. Academic scholarships and awards, ranging from $1,000 to full tuition, are awarded and based on grades, test scores, and leadership activities.

INTERCOLLEGIATE ATHLETICS: Westminster is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Division III) and, except for football, in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The football team is a member of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC). Men’s varsity sports include baseball, basketball, football, golf, soccer, and tennis. Women compete in basketball, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball.
LANDMARKS ON CAMPUS: Churchill Memorial; “Breakthrough”, a sculpture made from a section of the Berlin Wall; 16th Century Sir Christopher Wren designed Church of St. Mary, Aldermanbury; and the Westminster columns.
LEGACY: Westminster students walk between the historic Westminster columns on only two occasions: the first day of school and graduation day. Winston Churchill delivered his famous “Iron Curtain” speech on the Westminster College campus in 1946. Distinguished Green Lecture speakers on campus: former Presidents Harry Truman and Gerald Ford, Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey, President George Bush, former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev, former British prime minister Margaret Thatcher, former President of Poland Lech Walsesa and consumer advocate Ralph Nader. Vice President Dick Cheney and Senator John Kerry spoke in historic Westminster Gymnasium in May 2004.
LOCATION: Fulton, Missouri, a safe, historic community of over 12,000 people. Historic downtown Fulton offers antique, gift and several one-of-a kind family owned shops. Fulton is centrally located in the state, with Kansas City 2 ˝ hours west and St. Louis 2 hours east. The Lake of the Ozarks, a beautiful recreation and shopping area, is one hour south of Fulton. Twenty-five minutes to the west is Columbia, a vibrant town of more then 70,000 people. Just to the south is Jefferson City, Missouri’s state capital.
