Internship Fellowship & Scholarships

Emerson National Security Fellowship
The Emerson National Security Fellowship is named after Westminster College alumnus and former U.S. Representative from Missouri Bill Emerson. Rep. Bill Emerson (’59), contributed significantly to the development of public policies as they related to both domestic and international issues.  He was elected to Congress in 1980 and was re-elected seven times.  Emerson served on the Agriculture and Transportation Committees while in office.  In addition, he was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve from 1964 – 1992.

This fellowship is open to current juniors and sophomores, of any major, with an interest in national security. Those students with career interests in the military, diplomacy, food or transportation security or counterterrorism are particularly encouraged to apply.

Award: One $4,000 

When to apply: The application process for this fellowship begins in September. Watch for an e-mail from the Internship Coordinator with application instructions.
