WC Alumni Weekend Cocktail Party

There are over 12,000 living alumni of Westminster College in all 50 states and 34 countries. From Seoul to Dallas, New York to Hollywood, Westminster alumni are everywhere! No matter how young or old, no matter where they reside, each Westminster man and woman is automatically a member of the Alumni Association.

Here are a few simple things you can do throughout the year to get involved:

Regional Alumni Group

  • Serve as an area rep on the Alumni Council
  • Help organize and/or sponsor a college coordinated alumni event
  • Organize/host an area alumni event/dinner party/etc. to engage alums and friends
  • Recruit, encourage and support area/affinity representatives
  • Bring new people to an area alumni event
  • Attend and invite others to area athletic events
  • Organize a Westminster group to participate in a local service project, team event, etc. and wear Westminster t-shirts!

Alumni Weekend

  • Organize a class or affinity reunion for Alumni Weekend
  • Recruit other alumni to come back for Alumni Weekend

Fellow Alumni

  • Bring an alum to campus who has not been back for awhile
  • Work with Development to engage alums and non-alums in fundraising events
  • Recruit new President's Club members
  • Send Development a connection to a foundation or corporate gift
  • Bring guests to the National Churchill Museum
  • Provide museum passes to friends to encourage them to visit the museum

Leadership & Recognition

  • Express your interest in serving on the Alumni Council or Regional Alumni Chapters
  • Nominate potential Alumni Council and Board members
  • Nominate potential alumni award winners

Student Recruitment & Regional Media

Current Students

  • Support an athletic team or student group while in your area by providing meals, lodging, tours, etc. as appropriate
  • Speak to a class
  • Meet with a campus group
  • Provide and/or host internship opportunities for students
  • Get involved in student groups - attend events, be an advisor, support groups
  • Arrange a video conference with a class of group of students
  • Attend a campus event and engage with students
  • Provide career advice to students
  • Provide job openings to the Center for Career Development

Campus Events

  • Serve as a speaker at a major campus event, such as the Undergraduate Scholars Forum or the Symposium
  • Serve as a judge for the Undergraduates Scholars Forum - Posters, Presentations and Writing
  • Attend the Undergraduate Scholars Forum
  • Attend the Hancock Symposium
  • Attend other campus lectures
  • Suggest speakers for the Symposium
