Getting Started
- A good approach is to start with a specific and concrete opening, then move to a discussion of more general or abstract ideas about your experience.
- Try to avoid clichés, or statements that anyone in your situation would/could make. Instead, convey what is individual and unique about your experiences.
- Try to imagine a specific audience for your piece. What would that reader enjoy hearing more about? What would interest or inspire him/her?
