Westminster College, a selective, independent, four-year co-educational residential college, offers students a dynamic liberal arts and sciences education.  Classes are interactive, seminar-style, with an average of 14 students per class.  The Center for Leadership and Service integrates leadership skills, character development and community service opportunities into the curriculum. 

ACADEMICS:  36 majors, 34 minors and 12 pre-professional programs are offered.  The self-designed major offers students an opportunity to design their own major in fields such as advertising, communication, public administration and sports management.

ADMISSION:  Selective.  Based on academic performance and extracurricular activities.  The most recent (2005) incoming class had an average GPA of 3.4, average ACT score of 25, and 67% ranked in the top 50% of their class.

CAMPUS:  The campus encompasses 86 acres, the heart of which is a lovely, tree-shaded area, enhanced by the stately Greek Revival architecture of the surrounding campus buildings. 

CAMPUS LIFE:  Over 50 student clubs and organizations.  Several intramural sports.  Freshmen-only residence halls – the “Quad.”  Weekly events include concerts, lectures, theater, movies, volunteer opportunities, and athletic events. 

CAREER SERVICES:  Comprehensive program to assist students with the development of professional and graduate school goals as well as job-seeking skills.  Services include individual counseling, internships, a resource library, and on-campus recruiting.  A strong alumni network provides additional resources.

ENROLLMENT:  Just under 1,000 students from 24 states and 43 countries.  Sixty-six percent are from Missouri, with Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Kansas, and Illinois strongly represented. 

FACULTYStudent-faculty ratio is 14:1.  There are 52 full-time faculty members and most hold the highest degree awarded in their fields.  Students can work with faculty members on research.  Students and faculty form life-long relationships at Westminster.
