Job Searching/Employment Information
The Office of Career Services assists Westminster College students prepare for the job hunting process through assisting students develop an occupational focus and providing them with the opportunity to learn essential job searching skills. In order to execute a successful job search that brings about personal fulfillment, the student must cover these former areas first.
Assistance in finding full time employment can be found at the Office of Career Services. Current job openings are listed in several hanging binders that are available during office hours, and are separated according to occupational areas. Three bulletin boards in the office post further opportunities, and list career fairs held in the area. Furthermore, students are frequently e-mailed regarding job opportunities that are encouraged to apply for these openings.
On-campus interviews are held every year; students may sign up for these through the Office of Career Services. A Career EXPO is hosted with William Woods University and held every February, an event that attracts between 35-50 employers and organizations.
Every spring Westminster College graduates secure employment through a variety of contacts, which range from alumni, family, Office of Career Services contacts, and resources students have developed through part-time employment and internships.
