These instructions are for McAfee Virus Scan Installation and Configuration for Windows OS.
Macintosh users, please pick up a CD from the Computer Services HelpDesk located in HAZEL 307 (Reeves Library).
The current Westminster College site-licensed Enterprise version of McAfee Virus Scan is required by "Clean Access" before a Windows computer can fully connect to the Westminster College network.
*** Warning ***
Other Antivirus software (especially Norton Antivirus or Symantec SystemWorks) may conflict with McAfee. Please un-install ALL other antivirus programs INCLUDING "old", "home" or "retail" versions of McAfee BEFORE beginning the McAfee Virus Scan Enterprise installation.
Installation

To begin installing Virus Scan, click the "Go to Link" on the Clean Access pop-up window that indicates your computer needs it to be installed or updated.

Choose "run" from the security pop-up window(s) to start the McAfee setup.exe program.

Allow the installer to to copy/install the required files to your computer. (be patient as it will also be downloading new virus definition updates from the internet)

Click "Next" when the setup is complete.
If the Clean Access window fails to pop up with the download link, you can manually download the installer directly to your hard drive and run it locally.
