Student Responsibilities |
| |
- You are responsible for bringing a computer to campus that meets our recommended computer specifications. (More info)
- You are responsible for knowing how to use the computer equipment you bring to campus. You wouldn’t buy a car without learning how to drive it, and you shouldn’t buy a computer without getting some education in how to use it properly. A nice place to start would be with your system’s manual or online at a site like Computer Technical Tutorials & More.
- You are responsible for keeping your computer updated and free of viruses and malware (More Info).
- You are responsible for who uses your computer and should keep it secure.
- You are responsible for the maintenance of your computer’s hardware and software. If you are not an experienced user, then plan ahead and buy a maintenance contract or extended warranty through your computer vendor or manufacturer. We can give you advice, but we are not a repair shop.
- We provide you with a 10’ network cable when you arrive to campus as a new student. You are responsible for not losing that cable and for keeping it in good condition. If you lose it, destroy it, or need a longer cable, then you are responsible for purchasing a cable on your own.
- You are responsible for following our computer use policies. (More info)
