Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get internship credit for my summer job if it is related to my major?

Internships must be arranged before you begin working. An internship requires the intern write a learning contract. The contract must be signed by the faculty member who serves as the intern’s faculty sponsor and also by the employee who will be supervising the intern on the job. An internship is a carefully monitored work experience in which the student develops intentional learning goals and reflects actively on what he/she is learning throughout the internship.

-Kelly, a Biology major, completed an internship with Dr. McCall's Dentist Office in Fulton.
